Grow The Planet has a new friend: Slow Food Italy!

Environment, sustainability, healthy food, vegetable gardens... With all these values in common, the friendship between Slow Food Italy and Grow the Planet has born spontaneously and today we’re proud to officially announce it!

Slow Food activities go back 26 years in history: “Good, Clean and Fair” projects and initiatives organized  all over the world to promote a healthy and balanced way of life for the earth and its people. With its 100,000 members in more than 150 countries and more than 2,000 communities, Slow Food is today one of the main international sustainability and food refences.

Grow the Planet leverages social networking to help people get closer to the sustainable world of vegetable gardens: suggestions, best practices, smart step-by-step growing guides and much more. Grow The Planet aims to create a wide international community of people who relates to farming in a more digital, smart and fun way.

With today’s agreement, Grow the Planet and Slow Food Italy are founding a partnership that will lead to common initiatives, events, and more.
In the “Better World” section of Grow The Planet you will soon find many “Slow Food Italy approved” stories, as well as new tips and tutorials in the “Learn” section.

And it doesn’t end up here: the upcoming “Kitchen” section will teach you how to cook great meals right from your harvest!

Meanwhile, the “Orto in Condotta” project is already on the way, The 400+ Slow Food Italy schools will thus use Grow The Planet’s features and guides to grow their vegetable gardens.

Slow Food Italy and Grow the Planet will attend some very important events together all over italy all over the year.

Stay tuned, more news will be disclosed very soon!
